Fireboy and Watergirl 6: Fairy Tales marks the sixth installment in this highly acclaimed adventure game series. Cool math Fireboy and Watergirl 6 introduces players to an extraordinary journey with fairies, providing a fresh twist to the elemental hero duo’s escapades. In this new temple, the game offers 31 levels, comprising 26 regular levels and five dark levels. The level selection screen takes the shape of a butterfly, unlocking two chapters on each wing after completing the initial level.

The fairies play a crucial role in assisting Fireboy and Watergirl on their quest. These tiny, shimmering companions guide the heroes through the temple, helping unlock doors, control levers, and provide energy for doors and elevators with their radiant glow. Each fairy has a unique function, and their colors correspond to specific energy devices. White fairies, representing the full spectrum of light, can operate any energy device, while colored fairies are limited to devices of their respective colors. Players can control the fairies using the mouse.

Throughout the temple, Watergirl and Fireboy must collect various-colored gems scattered in each room—Watergirl collects blue gems, Fireboy picks up red gems, and both can collect white diamonds. Watergirl can navigate water but not lava, while Fireboy can traverse lava but not water. Neither character can touch the toxic green slime. The levels culminate in two exits, requiring Fireboy and Watergirl to reach their respective exits based on color and symbols for successful completion.
