Fireboy and Watergirl: Elements is a relatively recent addition to the Fireboy and Watergirl series, featuring a rich background story distinct from the previous four games in the series. This installment comprises seven unique temples with a total of 62 levels, including 49 regular levels and 13 white diamond levels, each temple presenting 5 or 6 new levels. Fireboy and Watergirl: Elements retains the four temples from the previous games and introduces three new temples: Fire, Water, and Wind. The various elemental challenges in each temple add exciting layers to the Fireboy and Watergirl gameplay, and here below are some detailed explanations.

The levels in the Fire Temple and Water Temple are particularly unique. The Fire Temple exclusively features lava pools, with no water pools. While it may seem like an easy temple for Fireboy, the challenge lies in Fireboy clearing the path for Watergirl to reach the exit. Conversely, all levels in the Water Temple consist only of water pools where Watergirl can freely navigate. However, this doesn’t make it an easy temple for Watergirl; she must traverse the area extensively to find a safe passage for her red companion. These levels once again emphasize the game’s core concept: collaboration leads to success.

The Wind Temple introduces a new device—a giant floor fan—operable by both characters. Its functionality is akin to a regular elevator found in other temples, lifting the characters upward. Stepping on the button activates the fan, which continues running for approximately 5 seconds. The Wind Temple also features a gray diamond that must be collected for a perfect score.

The regular levels maintain classic challenges from previous temples, such as levers, pushers, boxes, light detectors, mirrors, ice and snow, freeze and melt lights, crystal teleporters, and more. While collecting diamonds in regular levels is not mandatory for completion, it enhances your score. In white diamond levels, collecting the white diamond is essential for progression, while regular red and blue diamonds contribute to rating improvement. The Wind Temple adds an additional challenge with the requirement to collect a gray diamond for a perfect score, following the rules set by the previous four temples.

This Watergirl and Fireboy game series includes seven different elemental temples, each with the following number of levels:

2. The Fire Temple, which contains 8 levels.
3. The Light Temple, which contains 9 levels.
4. The Crystal Temple, which contains 9 levels.
